This shows how scientists placed an incorrect date for the Shroud of Turin. Originally scientists did not take a fabric sample from an area of the shroud where Christ's image appears. In fact portion of the Shroud where the image is located in a fine linen commonly and only weaved around the time of Christ!
But scientists sampled a cotton weave around edges of the shroud that did not represent the whole of the shroud. The scientists used a fabric sample from the shroud of Turin for Carbon-14 dating that was derived from a repair job which took place in Europe after the medieval fire at a church.
