“Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38

The principle of investment says that if you invest or give something, you will receive it back many times over. The Scripture expresses this principle again and again.

“Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Galatians 6:7

“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” 2 Corinthians 9:6

“sows” = work; labor; endurance

It is not just a matter of receiving back what you invest, but also a matter of receiving it back according to how much you invest.

“Invest” = put in; devote

What do you want? Sow it. Invest it!
Do you want friends? Invest friendship.
Do you want love? Invest love.
Do you want respect? Invest by respecting others
Giving and expecting results in Investment. The Scripture says so. It was Jesus’ words.
Investment is goal-directed, disciplined planning, immersed in prayers, and with patience expects permanent benefits.

In 2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give …”
It is well-planned and decided; not a spur of the moment. When you invest a project feasibility study is needed to secure and expect the outcome. When you have decided to give/invest it is no longer out of compulsion or with grudge; not out of accident; no hesitation, but with determination and cheerfulness. That’s why Jesus said, “I love a cheerful giver.”

Giving begins with the realization that “from Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.” Romans 11:36
In other words, He is the source, the means and the goal of all of life.

The basic principle that Jesus is teaching is that if you want to change what you are getting then you must begin by giving (investing) whatever it is you believe would give God the greatest glory: goal-directed, disciplined planning, persevering executions, immersed in prayer, undying expectation of result - God’s glory.

God Himself is an Investor.
Because God is a Giver, we cannot out-give God.
God invests in you. He invested His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ for us. John 3:16
He deposited His Holy Spirit in us to guarantee our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possessions – to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:14
God invest in us to make known the glorious riches of the mystery, which is Christ in us, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27

Glory occurs when you allow Him to work through you to fulfill His purpose; your calling, your eternity destiny, His divine agenda in your life.

Our experiences in life are the investments of God to develop, enrich, equip, put more value, to mature us for fruitfulness in His kingdom. If He plants you, He expects you to produce. And He supplies required resources. God’s assignments, God’s provision.

In a practical way let me invite you to consider investing in a business venture in mind. The success probability is very high. Within a year it could produce/create another business unit of the same capital requirement or even less. It is risk free! The potential of creating more than one (1) business unit is great and achievable. The minimum ROI (Return of Investment) is 100%. Are you willing to invest in this scenario?

Probably, you will invest a little as a start. When you have proven that indeed the promises I made came true, as much as you can have, you will invest for more. This is a realistic business option, a smart way to invest. If this is true in the business world, how much more should it be in spiritual investment.

When it comes back to you 10 fold, 30, 60, 100 folds you will continue investing. Jesus promised it will.

Now I will invite you to invest “FIRST”:

F = Financial (treasures, money)
I = Intellect (talents, grow in grace & knowledge by studying God’s word, devotional)
R = Relationship (intimacy with God, with your family, friends, etc)
S = Spirit (feeding your spirit – creativity, inner strength)
T = Time (prayer, availability, physical stamina, health)

In spiritual investment – Only Winners – No Losers!

One of the most comprehensive promises in the Bible says, “God is able to make all grace abound to you so that having all things, at all times, you will have all that you need so you can abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

That covers all areas of life, so do not hesitate to INVEST FIRST.
