Jesus, do not leave us alone in suffering. You know, Lord, how weak we are. we are an abyss of wretchedness, we are nothingness itself; So what will be so strange If You leave us alone and we fall? We are an infant, Lord, So We cannot get along by ourselves. However, beyond all abandonment we trust, And in spite of our own feeling we trust, And we are being completely transformed into trust, Often in spite of what we feel. Do not lessen any of our sufferings, Only give us strength to bear them. Do with us as You please, Lord, Only give us the grace to be able to love You, In every event and circumstances. Lord, do not lessen our cup of bitterness, Only give us strength That we may be able to drink it all. Amen.
